About Me

First, I am a storyteller and second I am a writer.
I was born on the banks of Cedar Creek in Southern Illinois. My father led a simple, unadorned life and very strongly influenced my philosophy of life. It is to him I give credit for the title and nature of this site. He indeed followed his Individual Path. He loved people and entertained them with his stories everywhere he went. I began writing because I wanted to grow up and capture his stories on paper.

Mission statement
The purpose of this site is to encourage and applaud individuality. To find and recognize those who do their own thing and do it well. I will spotlight those who I feel broke the rules, stepped outside tradition, and followed their heart. This site is about living persons in your neighborhood or world that succeeded when told they would not, could not or that the odds were heavily against them. It’s about individuals who listened to the voice within to make a difference in their life and in the lives of others.
